Rape
Prevention
At
Valley Trauma Center we believe that education is key to prevention.
We make hundreds of presentations to the community each year in
hopes of raising awareness of issues regarding sexual assault.
Our goal is to lessen the impact of violence in our society by
speaking to students, parents, and community groups.

In
collaboration with California State University Northridge's Police
Department, Valley Trauma Center offers the R.A.D. (Rape Aggression
Defense) Systems Self Defense Program.
-
The
Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense
tactics and techniques for women.
- The
R.A.D. Systems is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins
with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance,
while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.

The
R.A.D Systems Program is designed to develop and enhance your

in the event of an attack.
